Four new faculty members were installed this past Fall adding to an already well-qualified, competent faculty. Father Jeffrey Montz, a priest from New Orleans, recently completed and earned the licentiate degree in spiritual theology from the Angelicum University in Rome. Father Montz serves as the assistant director of spiritual formation and as a spiritual director/confessor for the seminary community. Dr. Gregory Vall earned his Ph.D. in sacr4ed scripture from The Catholic University of America. He is an expert in Old Testament studies. He recently served on faculty at Ave Maria University. Dr. Rebecca Maloney earned her Ph.D. in education from Holy Cross College in New Orleans. She recently served as the assistant superintendent of schools for the Archdiocese of New Orleans. Dr. Maloney serves as the associate dean and registrar as well as director of institutional effectiveness. Mrs. Susie Veters is a successful accountant as a CPA. She earned her master’s degree in theology from NDS. She serves as the director of the Institute for Lay Ecclesial Ministry at NDS and oversees the new master’s degree in pastoral leadership. During Evening Prayer, the four faculty members took the Oath of Fidelity and the Profession of Faith. The seminary appreciates the fidelity and commitment each are making to the mission of NDS.
