Mario Sacasa, Ph.D., LMFT
Dr. Mario Sacasa serves as the Director of the Counseling Services at Notre Dame Seminary. He is also the Assistant Director of Human Formation and the Professor of Pastoral Counseling.
Dr. Sacasa is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the states of Louisiana and Florida. He received his doctorate in Counseling from The University of Holy Cross. He has a Combined Master’s in Science and Educational Specialist Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. His Bachelor’s Degree is in Psychology from Florida State University.
Dr. Sacasa has made a career of integrating the Church’s anthropology and spirituality into sound clinical practice. He conducts lectures on the topic and has created a marriage retreat applying the Theology of the Body to present day marital issues. He has also conducted retreats on men’s spirituality. He has taught at the Institute of Priestly Formation and the Theology of the Body Institute.
