The seminary community welcomed Archimandrite Maximos Pafilis, the dean of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, to Notre Dame Seminary as the community prepares to celebrate Week of Prayer for Christian Unity that begins on January 18. Father Maximos was appointed the dean this past Fall coming from Greece. Father Maximos shared the state of the Greek Orthodox Church in Greece as well as offered reflections on the Divine Liturgy, sacred art, sacred music, recent sociological and political trends, and the dialogue between the Orthodox and Roman Catholic Churches. Father Maximos stayed for dinner and enjoyed a brief tour of the seminary.
