Alumni Day celebrates those priests who are observing their 25th, 50th, and 60th anniversaries and all alumni who continue to exercise their priestly ministry. This year, Bishop Muench, a priest from the Archdiocese of New Orleans and presently the Bishop of Baton Rouge, celebrates his 50th anniversary of priesthood. Bishop Muench served as the celebrant for Mass and was presented with the Good Shepherd Award for his priestly service and ministry. Father Pat Williams, former rector of NDS and presently the vicar general/vicar for clergy, delivered the homily reflecting on the humble ways in which God’s power and mercy touches the lives of those who seek the will of God and those who seek truth. Archbishop Gregory Aymond and Archbishop Emeritus Alfred Hughes concelebrated the Mass. Following Mass, alumni were greeted with a reception and dinner served by our third year theologians.
