T4 Farewell Banquet

Notre Dame Seminary concluded its 95th year of formation with the closing banquet honoring the 2018 graduating class. The rector presided over solemn Vespers, exhorting the graduates to always graft their lives onto the vine of Jesus’ priesthood as the Lord spoke to the apostles at the Last Supper that he is the vine and they are the branches. Jesus stated that with him, you can do nothing. Father Wehner preached that Jesus’ priesthood is gift and responsibility that the seminary formation program prepared the men to embrace. Following Vespers, the seminary community enjoyed a reception and then a formal dinner. The T3 seminarians served the community and roasted the graduates with sentiments of humor and stories of affection, and then encouraging and challenging the graduates for their future ministry. The T4 men gifted the seminary with an outdoor crucifix for the pool area and new icons for the chapel in Saint Joseph Hall.
