Divine Mercy Sunday

The seminary community celebrated Divine Mercy Sunday by chanting a Chaplet of Divine Mercy at 9am and celebrating Mass at 11am. In his homily, Fr. Wehner reminded the community the fundamental trust that disciples of Jesus demonstrate to the Providence of God. Our world often lacks trust in governments, those in authority, the immigrant, the migrant, and even unborn children. Fear often motivates the ideologies of today which separate ourselves from one another and from God. The Mercy of God is how God chooses to love us, redeem us, and call us to be with Him in the Kingdom. The Church has been entrusted to be the face of God’s mercy on our ministries and apostolates. As Jesus is the face of God’s mercy, we are the face of Jesus particularly the priests who are given the responsibility to shepherd the People of God.
