Summer Program: Pastoral Formation in Times of Crisis

Forming Pastoral Ministers for Times of Crisis is a month-long summer program focused on providing a foundational and integrative spiritual and pastoral formation appropriate to the demands of priestly ministry in the face of human tragedy, suffering, and evil. This program, structured to provide a balance between prayer, theological learning, group processing, holy leisure, pastoral ministry, and pastoral application with theological reflection, will lead seminarians on a journey deeper into the Heart of Jesus Christ the Good Shepherd, whose whole orientation is always turned toward the integral salvation of his priestly people. To this end, each week will focus on a different aspect of transformation in Christ suited to the formation of future shepherds in the Church. Throughout the four weeks, the seminarians will develop their spiritual life with exposure to practical pastoral ministry rooted in an atmosphere of prayer and fraternity.
