Notre Dame Seminary began its 98th year of priestly formation on August 16th with Solemn Evening Prayer and a Eucharistic Procession asking God’s blessings upon our mission, praying for safety and good health, and that we be given the faith, hope, and charity to serve the People of God in our fidelity to the responsibilities entrusted to us. We chanted the Litany of the Sacred Heart imploring the Lord to banish the stain of sin from our campus. The procession went to the Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto where Benediction was given. We again entrusted ourselves to Mother Mary that seminarians, as sons of the Church, would remain close to her intercession throughout this year. Following Evening Prayer, the seminary community enjoyed an opening banquet with classes that started the following day.
