Oktoberfest 2021

Each year the seminarians enjoy a German dinner that includes pork and sauerkraut, various brauts, soft pretzels, potato salad, and apfelstrudel. Following the outdoor dinner, a German schola comprised of seminarians and conducted by the rector lead the community in cheerful German sing-a-longs that include O du lieber Augustin, Mein Hut der hat drei ecken, Du, du, liegst mir herzen, and Ein Prosit. Then, the community is led a round of sign-a-long called Schnitzelbank. Completely unrelated to anything German, the seminarians then have a massive water balloon competition throughout the campus of the seminary. We end paying tribute to Our Lady with the Salve Regina. Considering all the challenges in the life of the Church and our world, it was a good evening of fraternity to thank the Lord for his kindness!
