Divine Mercy Sunday is usually the weekend when we bid farewell to the men preparing for priestly ordination. This year we prayed Vespers I and Vespers II of Divine Mercy Sunday as well as celebrated the Solemn Mass of Divine Mercy Sunday.
The community enjoyed a reception and then a sit down dinner to celebrate the men preparing for priesthood. The evening concluded with a presentation to Father Wehner as he concludes his ministry as our rector.
The evening provided occasion for us to celebrate God’s mercy and grace in what has been a challenging year with Hurricane Ida and the relief efforts afterwards, and coming out of the pandemic. It was great way to wind down the year.
