In August, thousands of visitors came to Notre Dame Seminary to venerate the relics of St. Padre Pio. On Saturday, August 27th, Archbishop Aymond celebrated Mass in honor of St. Pio. Throughout the weekend, pilgrims from around the Gulf South stood in line to await the privilege to pray before the six relics that were on display. These relics included a cotton gauze with blood stains, the crusts of the wounds of his stigmata, a glove which covered his stigmata, a handkerchief, a lock of hair, and a piece of his mantle. Thank you to everyone who was able to attend the public veneration! St. Pio, pray for us!
