This year’s 2023 Aquinas Lecture, “Humanity’s Original State: Thomas Aquinas on Original Justice, Happiness, and Friendship with God,” was presented by Professor Reinhard Hütter. Professor Hütter delivered a lecture for the NDS community, including seminarians, faculty, lay students and other guests from the local community.
Professor Hütter is a faculty fellow of the Institute for Human Ecology of The Catholic University of America. His teaching and research focus on fundamental theological questions of the relationship between faith and reason, nature and grace, revelation and faith, theology and philosophy, and dogma and history.
