By: Jason Songe, Seminarian, Archdiocese of New Orleans

Putting On The New Man is a series of the NDS Blog that will introduce the new faces you see in the seminary.

ERIC BAYLOT

My name is Eric Baylot. I’m from the Archdiocese of Atlanta and am in pre-theology 1. My favorite saint is Maximillian Kolbe and my favorite scripture verse is 2 Cor 12:10. My favorite movie is Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and my favorite spiritual book is Rebuilding Catholic Culture. I like to act and sing, and to hang out with my friends. The most interesting thing to happen to me was my study abroad trip to Cortona, Italy. I want to be a priest to serve others, and to show them the beauty of the Catholic Church. My vocation story could be summed up as several powerful moments pushing me towards priesthood.

ROBERT JOHNSON

My name is Robert Johnson. I am from the diocese of Alexandria, and I am in T-3. My favorite saints are Sts. John the Evangelist and Augustine. My favorite movie is Goonies, and my favorite Scripture verse is Jn 6:35-38. I want to be a priest to bring the sacramental presence of Jesus to those in most need. One of my favorite spiritual books is Tuning into Grace, by Andre Louf O.C.S.O. The most interesting thing that has ever happened to me was serving Mass for the Holy Father. My vocation story in seven words or less: Perseverance. My favorite hobbies are historical Development/preservation of ecclesiastical textiles and water gardening/aquaponics.
