Dear Friends:
The Notre Dame Seminary community is working to do our part to support the Hurricane Ida disaster relief efforts. As we all know, the aftermath and clean up from such a devastating storm can last for months. The seminary community will spend every Saturday of the remainder of the semester providing pastoral care and distributing supplies to those in need.
In order to offer this much needed hands-on assistance, the seminarians will need tools and supplies, as well as essential provisions (such as ice, water, cleaning supplies and toiletries) to distribute to those in need. We invite you to help us be a spiritual and physical support for the people in Houma, Grande Isle, LaPlace, Lafitte, and other affected communities.
Below is a wish list of items that would assist us in our efforts as well as information on how you can volunteer with our seminary community. Your donation will directly impact and support those communities devastated by Hurricane Ida.
We understand that Hurricane Ida affected many of our supporters and alumni in some way. Please know of our prayers for you, your families, and your communities as we all work to rebuild and recover.
May Our Lady of Prompt Succor continue to intercede for those affected by the storm and those providing relief efforts.

Supplies can be dropped off to the front office at Notre Dame Seminary (2901 S Carrollton Ave) Monday – Friday from 8:30 AM until 3:30 PM

This Saturday, September 18th the NDS community will be going to Jean Lafitte to help gut houses and handout supplies. Volunteers will meet at NDS for 8:00 AM and depart at 8:30 AM. You can expect to return to NDS between 3:00-4:00 PM. We are especially in need of anyone with trucks or trailers for transporting supplies. For more information, email sveters@nds.edu.
