During 2015, many NDS seminarians have been ordained. This post contains photos of diaconate and priestly ordinations which took place around the country in dioceses like Houma Thibodaux, Austin, and Birmingham. Ordinations are sacramental ceremonies which enable NDS’s studious, prayerful men of God to minister in Christ’s name and that of the Church. The ceremony includes various rituals such as prostration, laying on of hands, anointing of hands, giving of the chalice/paten, receiving of the word of the Holy Gospel, and the sign of peace.
