Fais Do Do with NDS Seminarians

The Seminarians recently hosted two very special events for the Live Auction winners of our 2015 Gala and 2015 Christmas Luncheon. The Seminarians welcomed Gala winners, Callen and Coleen Hotard, and their guests for a Fais Do Do on March 6, 2016. The Christmas Luncheon winners were Deacon Carlo and Debbie Maniglia, Joseph and Erin Caruso, Byron and Shannon Adams, Deacon Terry and Dottie Manieri & Dominick and Georgette Sciortino. The winners and their guests “passed a good time” at the second Fais Do Do on April 22, 2016. They enjoyed an authentic Cajun experience with our Seminarians, which included: a reading of an excerpt from the Cajun children’s story book written by seminarian, David Rozas; Cajun Dance Lessons taught by Seminarian Ryan Hallford and his assistants, Ms. Sarah Denny and Dr. Jennifer Miller; cocktails; a performance by the NDS Improv Club; and a traditional Cajun meal prepared and served by the seminarians which featured Seminarian Paul Birdsall’s Famous Crawfish Pie, Gumbo and White Chocolate Bread Pudding. A highlight of each night was the live painting of a Cajun scene by seminarian artist Matthew Hoffpauir. The painting was “won” by one of the attendees at the end of each evening, along with beautiful handmade rosaries by seminarian Duane Trombetta. A special thanks to all of the seminarians who worked tirelessly to provide a memorable evening for the auction winners.
