NDS Basketball Team

Our Notre Dame Basketball team had a strong showing at the St. Francis de Sales Invitational in Milwaukee. Playing a total of 6 games over two and a half days, the Hunchbacks gave everything they had and more, but came up short to the Kenrick-Glennon Lions in the third place matchup. Our team had a strong showing this year, placing 4th out of 14 seminary teams, and enjoyed the fraternity among the other seminarians.

Thank you to all our supporters, financially and spiritually, who assisted us in this wonderful opportunity for other seminarians to see in their interactions with our team’s seminarians the good formation we provide for our men here. Team members (L to R in team photo) include #3 Ethan Camet (New Orleans), #34 Kevin Braski (Savannah), #4 Nick Smith (Birmingham,), #2 Chris Collins (Biloxi), #9 Chris Fagin (Memphis), #7 Zak Zapletal (Dallas), #23 William Hebert (Lafayette), #31 Ethan Henry (Houma-Thibodaux), #5 Jeremy Chiasson (Baton Rouge), #70 Hoang Pham (New Orleans), manager Ike Iwugi (Dallas). Special gratitude to Coach Kenneth Thompson and Coach Isaac Bolden who trained and guided our team to their success in the tournament.

Including Notre Dame, thirteen seminaries from across the U.S. participated: St. Francis de Sales (Milwaukee, WI), St. Gregory the Great (Seward, NE), Immaculate Heart of Mary (Winona, MN), St. John (Boston, MA), St. John Vianney (Saint Paul, MN), Kenrick-Glennon (St. Louis, MO), St. Mary (Houston, TX), Moreau (Notre Dame, IN), Mundelein (Mundelein, IN), Our Lady of Guadalupe (Denton, NE), St. Paul (Saint Paul, MN), St. Vincent de Paul (Boynton Beach, FL).
